The aim of the workshop is to explore recent research on the analysis and quantification of the effects, both on the economy and on society, of investments in HSR systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"crayon article-texte-423 texte surlignable\">\n<p>The workshop opens with a Session where invited experts from Italy, both academics and operators of Ferrovie dello Stato, from UIC, from the Asian Development Bank Institute and from the California High-Speed Rail in the United States will provide their experience in this sector. The Vice-President of the UIC Alliance of Universities will be present as well.<\/p>\n<p>A keynote will be given by Mr\u00a0Marc Guigon, UIC Passenger Director, entitled \u201cHigh-Speed Rail in the context of the new normal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is divided into five sessions. In Session 1, a review of HSR socioeconomic impacts is provided. Session 2 deals with HSR appraisal methods and pricing policies. Session 3 deals with HSR impacts on productivity and tourism.
