The HELab (Hydro Energy Laboratory) is a laboratory for qualification testing of electromechanical pumping units in compliance with the new European standard EN16480, resulting from Directives 2005/32/EC and 2009/125/EC. The laboratory is equipped with three different measurement lines for different-sized pumps, motors, and pumping units. An automatic control system allows for the rapid acquisition of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical parameters. The HELab staff specializes in pumping unit efficiency, energy production, fluid mechanics, prototyping, and technology transfer.
